The Australian Commission on safety & Quality in Health Care, for the first time, has developed National Safety & quality Medical Imaging Standards. It will replace the existing Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Standards. The standards describe to medical imaging practices the expected level of patient care.
Our Vice President Belinda Vaughan reviewed the draft and attended a meeting with the commission in March to give our feedback and represent the Nuclear Medicine Scientists community.
The draft is open for Public Consultation – You are invited to review the NSQMI draft and have your say.
Visit the Commission’s website at safetyandquality.gov.au/NSQMI-Standards to complete a survey, make a submission or register to participate in a focus group by COB Friday 4th October.
The final standards will be released in 2025.
Gordon Mander a PhD student from the Qld University of Technology is researching the use of medicines by MRP’s. Participation in the form of an online survey is voluntary, if you have 10mins to spare please see the link below.
